18/12/05
It hurts me to do it, it really does.

Little Britain (BBC1 Thursdays 9pm)

I’ve been putting off doing this for a few weeks in the hope things will improve.

They haven’t.

When I first saw the pilot episode of Little Britain on BBC3’s launch night, I knew they were onto a winner. It felt fresh, and most of all it was the funniest thing I’d seen in a while.

Unfortunately, I get the feeling they should have ‘done an Office’ and finished after 2 series. Maybe coming back for the likes of Christmas specials and Comic Relief.

It’s just not funny anymore. The old characters like the WI ladies are just exactly the same joke over and over again. Even the new incontinent woman was getting old the second sketch she was in.

I’m hoping against hope that this week’s Christmas special will make me chuckle again.

I won’t bet on it.

Record of the Year (ITV1 Saturday 10th Dec)

It has been pointed out that the McFly song, which came second, was for Comic Relief, thus completely wrecking the rules for the competition. So, I'm guessing they pretty much said no charity singles were allowed to stop Tony Christie’s Amarillo from winning, and then sneaked McFly’s effort in.

You’ve no idea how much I hate this ‘award’.

Ed (Channel 4 – Monday 18th Dec @ 12:30pm)

It's the last ever episode on Monday. OK, so that probably means it's not the best time to start watching it. And it's likely to be all mushy rather than as funny as it normally is. But I'm going to miss this little gem when it's gone.

The world of Ramsey Street

As I am in charge of the Neighbours update I assume I can do whatever I like! (Within reason – Neale) So rather than just recall the week’s events I shall focus on the people who have made my week and those who have pissed me off. Because let's face it, the world can be divided into those who watch Neighbours and care, and those people with lives!

Legend of the week

Dylan Timmins:

For that quite frankly hilarious example of martial arts as he took on the school bully who had been dissin Sky! Special mention to Boyd for helping him ‘find his chi’.

Tosser of the week

Alex Kinsky:

For not telling his kids that he is going to die! And also for naming his son Ezekiel!

Honourable mention

Goes to Janae Timmins' breasts! My male housemates were quite entertained by that low cut blue top and have even switched their allegiance from Sky to the top heavy one.

(Neale would also like to add his appreciation for said breasts. Looks like she went ahead with the operation afterall.)
