"I can't go to prison, they'll rape the flip out of me!"

The IT Crowd (Ch4 – Fridays, 9pm)

Now that line I've used for the title is not very funny written down, but when coming from the mouth of Richard Ayoade, it's downright hilarious.

I had high hopes for this new sitcom. It is written by Graham Linehan (he of Father Ted) and produced by Ash Atalla (from The Office). And for once, my high hopes were not in vain.

“I’ll just put it here with the rest of the fire.”

I’ll admit I was a tad worried after the first episode as it was a bit pants. But by the second I was laughing out loud, something that doesn’t happen a lot while I’m watching TV. For some reason it felt like an early Red Dwarf; studio audience, cheap sets and, most importantly, a gag a minute.

To be honest, there’s nothing really bad I can say about this. Perhaps it is a bit predictable, but it’s the best new sitcom I’ve seen in a long time.

And it’s about computers. Woo!

The world of Ramsey Street

Please forgive me, I’m rather ill, so my memory is not what it usually is. So I shall just cut to the chase and go to the bits I remember.
