Every week I’ll be giving you a review of a song. Now this could be a song in the chart I like (or one I hate) or something a bit different I’ve found on this ‘ere interweb.

I’ll also be teaming up with my alter ego (get your head round that one) to bring you a bootleg. That’s songs mixed together rather than the live recording kind.

Best. Bootleg. Ever.

Loo and Placido - Black Beatles

I would never normally condone doing anything with the Beatles music, but if anyone can take one of their songs and improve it, it’s Loo and Placido.

They are the masters of making a bootleg sound like a ‘proper’ song. And on this track they surprised even me.

It features the vocals of the Beatles’ ‘Run For Your Life’ and ‘Girl’, with the instrumental of the Black Eyed Peas’ ‘Let’s Get It Started’. Also in there are tracks by Ludacis, Kelis, Pharell and Clipse. And it all fits together perfectly.

I really can’t praise this song enough. It’s one of the best bootlegs I’ve ever heard.

5/5
