![]() No, I’m not talking about the shitty film (well in fairness I’ve never seen it, but it looks shit!). I am talking about the feeling you get when you haven’t left the house for about a week. For that is what exams force us to do. I never thought I’d say this, but I really miss going to lectures, because at least that means staring aimlessly at a different wall to the one in my bedroom. With the exception of walking to exams and going to the Co-Op to get milk for the 10 cups of tea a day I need to function under stress, I really haven’t left the house. The major problem with being stuck indoors is the fact that all the days blend into one. I only knew it was Saturday because Jeremy Kyle wasn’t on!! In this state of disorientation things get to you that normally wouldn’t – for example my housemate yelling at George Galloway on Celeb Big Brother: The man is a legend, leave him alone!!! I can only assume this is what it feels like to be an old person! In which case put me down at 50!! Being chained to the desk is in fact a vicious circle – once you get used to staying inside then you become less and less inclined to venture out and thus the cabin fever becomes worse. In fact last night I was invited to someone’s house for a drink but had to seriously debate whether I wanted to miss American Idol or not!!!! It’s not healthy or normal, it really isn’t! However as I have finished all my exams I am going to get crazy drunk tonight and then who knows where I’ll end up!! Wheeeyyyy!! (We are still looking for her – Neale) |
