Can I get a reeeeeewind
OK, this is a bit of a cheat, but I wasn’t happy with the way I wrote this originally. So here is Tittybangbang: Reloaded.
Tittybangbang (BBC3 – More often than it should be)
BBC3 is getting a reputation for producing good comedy – it is, afterall, the original TV home of Little Britain. Add to that shows such as Man Stroke Woman, The Mighty Boosh, The Smoking Room and you can see why. So my hopes were high for this next ‘big thing’. Alas, it’s just not funny.
I watched the pilot last year and think I chuckled a couple of times, but even then I didn’t think much of it. Having just seen the first episode of the series proper, I can safely say the likes of Man Stroke Woman and Spoons have no competition for the title of ‘Best New Sketch Show’. (An award I think I’ve just made up.)
There are so many things wrong with this programme that I don’t know where to start. The slow ‘dancing’ at the end of some of the sketches gets the ‘It’s Just Wrong’ award (ooo, another one). Green Wing showed how to do this kind of slow motion weirdness properly; here it is completely out of place. Add to this the odd need to introduce sketches with a shot of the characters that are about to follow. I applaud them trying to do something different, but it doesn’t work.
But they are just cosmetic things; a comedy show should be judged on the actual comedy. Unfortunately for Tittybangbang, it completely fails at this too. The ‘gross out’ characters aren’t that gross and aren’t at all funny. The other, more ‘normal’ characters aren’t funny. This show is not funny! To be fair to it, I can see some opportunities for improvement with the script that would at least raise a couple of laughs. Thing is, this could be sorted out with basic script editing. I don’t know what the hell the editor for this show was doing, but it wasn’t making a sketch show that’s for sure.
I know comedy is a very subjective thing, and it’s hard to please everyone, but for me a woman dressed as a guy paying for sex, then wanting to pee on the prostitute, her running out, then him dancing in slow motion is really, really bad TV.

The world of Ramsey Street
For one week only, it's Neale's Neighbours. So, what's been happening this week...
Well, the aftermath of that plane crash rocked the street. Thankfully most of the characters survived (and the most annoying didn't).
Izzy told Paul she doesn't love him, and he then responded by kicking her out. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person. Unfortunately, Paul had a change of heart. Those two deserve each other.
Legend of the week
Karl Kennedy:
Finally getting his own back on Izzy by letting her believe they still had a chance. Only to then laugh at her face! Woo! Go Karl!
Tosser of the week
Karl Kennedy:
Yeah, but still... It wasn't really Karl was it. He had a very evil look in his eyes when he did it. And anyway, when will the writers do the right thing and get Karl and Susan back together?
Honourable mention
Especially for Jenni: The Bishop family depart. Bye Serena!
