Sandi Thom - I Wish I Was A Prawn Cracker by Neale Right, where do I start… Well, why the hell does she wish she was a prawn cracker? That’s just madness, I mean… No Neale – ‘punk rocker’ What? It’s ‘punk rocker’ not ‘prawn cracker’. Are you sure? It really does sound like prawn cracker… I’m certain. But punk rockers don’t have flowers in their hair. Neither do prawn crackers. Shut up. But you do have a point – hippies have flowers in their hair, not punk rockers. She’s singing about wanting to be a hippy. Then why on earth does she say punk rocker? Because it fits better? That’s no excuse, the song doesn’t have any instrumental to it anyway. It sounds like she’s just forgotten about that part and then realised on the chorus. Plus it’s a blatant rip-off of ‘Oh Lord, won’t you buy me, a Mercedes Benz’. She is pretty hot though. True. Very true. 1/5 |
