by Neale Forget about this summer of movies. Apart from X3, there’s not much I’m looking forward to. Next summer is where it’s at. (If you’re a geek anyway.) Spider-Man 3 - 04/05/07 (USA) IGN Info Page I really can’t wait. Hopefully Venom will make an appearance – that’ll be worth the price of the ticket alone. Fantastic Four 2 – 04/07/07 (USA) IGN Info Page The first one was a bit meh. But one sentence makes me want to see this: “Variety reports that 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios are seriously considering having the Silver Surfer appear in Fantastic Four 2.” Woo! Shrek 3 – 18/05/07 (USA) IGN Info Page If it’s anywhere near as good as the first 2, then I’ll be happy. The Simpsons Movie – 27/07/07 (USA) IGN Info Page I don’t need to tell you how excited I am about this. DreamWorks (makers of Shrek) and Paramount are making it, so that’s a good start. But it’s live-action with CGI robots. Hmm. Actually, forget what I said at the start. Looks like there are some good films coming out this year afterall: X-Men: The Last Stand – 27/05/06 (UK General release) IGN Info Page Looks like this is to be the last in this series of films. (If the title is anything to go by…) Hopefully after this I’ll finally get the film I’ve been waiting for since I saw the first X-Men and Spider-Man films. Spider-Man & X-Men: The Movie! Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest – 07/07/06 (UK) IGN Info Page The first one rocked. And Jenni would kill me if I didn’t include this. (Are the film companies reluctant to put numbers on sequels now?) Superman Returns – 30/06/06 (UK) IGN Info Page I could’ve sworn this was out next year. Ah well.
